Animex Foods, the largest meat company on the Polish market, was a partner of the 11th edition of Green Industry Summit 2022. In the panel Green Transformation of Industry in the direction of circular economy, the company presented its large-scale activities aimed at sustainable development.
During the cyclically organized event under the patronage of among others the Polish International Freight Forwarders Association and Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, eminent scientific and business experts discussed the topics related to optimization of production processes, logistics and transformation of the energy and construction sector in the direction of climate neutrality.
The fundamental value and challenge for Animex Foods is to undertake actions related to environmental protection via e.g. sustainable production. Responsible attitude, supported by numerous projects, was appreciated by organizers of the conference. Animex, as one of the few entities of the food sector, was asked by organizers of the conference to take part in the Green Transformation of Industry panel in the direction of circular economy. Together with the representatives of the world of science topics related to modern technologies, responsibility of producers and cooperation of the industry and science in the context of climate neutrality were discussed.
“Participation in the panel constituted a perfect opportunity to present our good practices on reducing the level of used energy. We continue to reduce the content of plastic in our packaging and also apply innovative solutions within utilization of animal by-products that we can utilize in a different way – commented the spokesman of Smithfield Polska, Łukasz Dominiak.
It is worth adding that in June 2022 Smithfield Polska group, Animex Foods and Agri Plus won the competition “Leader of ethics in business” under the Sustainable Economy Summit. The award was granted by wide jury of the competition gathering leaders of the world of business, science and economy.
